On-page optimization

On-page optimization refers to every SEO technique that is implemented within the internal makeup of a website. One of the very first practices of a successful SEO campaign, on-page optimization covers at least half of what makes up your website’s authority and has a huge hand in how well you rank and what search terms you rank for.

Why is On-Page Optimization So Important?

On-page optimization is, as mentioned above, vital in determining your website’s performance within the search engines. That fact alone makes it important.  But when you consider that on-page content is also what you rely on to sell your products or services, it becomes that much more vital.  Well-optimized on-page content will have a positive effect on your search engine rankings, but will also improve the overall quality of your site from a sales perspective by increasing the overall readability of your site. Essentially, your on-page content needs to speak to the search engines and human visitors in equal measure so as to maximize rankings, visits, and profitability.

Below is a list of our on-page optimization techniques that will give your site a more visible online presence, while also improving your clicks and sales profits.

Title Tag Optimization

Besides content, a website’s title tags are by far the most important element in its SEO campaign. A title tag is a great opportunity for a business owner or SEO to add priceless optimization to a website. The title tag should be short, but descriptive enough for human visitors to identify what it is you’re selling.  Not to be left out, those selfish search engines again need to be fed–so include your top keyword for each page title as well.

The title tag is the first thing shown to a web browser in the search engine results, and is also the first piece of on-page content indexed by the search engine spiders.  We use the data gathered during keyword assignment and competitor analyses to produce search engine-friendly title tags for each page on your website. We also use a proprietary blend of SEO techniques to maximize the effectiveness of the title tags, in the eyes of  both search engines and human visitors.  Our only aim is to increase your revenue through effective on-page optimization, and this is the vital step one.

Meta Description Optimization

From an SEO perspective, meta descriptions have little importance when it comes to a website’s rankings. However, from a sales perspective, effective meta descriptions are a priceless part of our on-page optimization.  When a web user searches for a term in Google, they see the website title tag first, and beneath it is the meta description.  However, where the title tag is a short, 70 character snippet, the meta description is a full, 160 character piece of copy–the perfect opportunity to sell your product or service.

As with title tag optimization, we use key terms highlighted in our keyword assignment along with a combination of carefully worded sales copy and calls to action to create effective and inviting content. If done right, effective meta descriptions can draw visitors away from other websites–even if these sites are above yours in the rankings.

HTML Tag Optimzation

In order to rank your site for its most favorable keywords, we use our SEO strategy to optimize HTML tags throughout your content. HTML tags consist of H1 through H6 tags, and they are used to signify the importance of a key word or phrase. We make sure that the number one keyword for each page is included in that page’s H1 tag (usually the first headline of an article or post) with the less important keywords being implemented respectively.  Most pages have H1 and H2 tags, but there is no reason not to include H3 through H6 if you have enough content on a page.

We will decide, using our keyword assignment, which key terms to implement throughout your content in order to promote rankings increases for the most conversion-friendly key terms.
